Like many individuals and organizations, Military Connections is feeling the effects of Covid19.  Due to their inability to hold the usual fundraising activities, their income is down close to $50,000 which means they won't be able to ship the 10,000 or so Christmas stockings that are usually sent to our military personnel. Also, due to the monetary shortfall, rented storage/workspace has been given up. They hope to be able to send about 2,000 stockings this year, but don't currently have the funds to cover shipping costs.  So, if you have a few extra dollars, please consider making a donation:

School Supplies

THANK YOU! to everyone who
contributed school supplies.  Your
generosity is always appreciated by PW and
those who are blessed by your giving.

Christmas is Coming!

Another annual project of PW is filling Christmas Shoeboxes with gifts which Samaritan's Purse has distributed to more than 168 million kids since 1993.  The kids are also given the opportunity to learn about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. PW has purchased flat-fold boxes that are available in the  Library along with packing brochures that tell what can and cannot be included in the boxes.  (Regular shoeboxes can be used, too.)  You can pick up and fill boxes any time between now and November 15th, after which they will be taken to the local drop off location before being transferred to Samaritan's Purse.  Please leave filled boxes in the Adult Lounge.  It is requested that you include $9 or more per box to help with the cost of shipping; checks can be made out to Presbyterian Women and we will write a check to Samaritan's Purse to cover the shipping cost of all the filled boxes that we receive.

Thank you for helping with all of our mission projects - as has been said many times, "We couldn't do it without you!"
