PW's 14th ANNUAL SOUP SALE!! AFTER BOTH SERVICES ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 7th

We need our wonderful chefs to make soup and bread for our sale. We can’t do it without you! We provide containers, you make the soup (and/or bread) and we sell it!  We can also use and sell soup that has been frozen.  The soup will sell for $6.00 per container. We will collect soup on Friday, November 5th (put soup in the refrigerator) and on Saturday, November 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in fellowship hall. Sign up today on the sheet in the sanctuary. You can also make the soup or bread (or store bought bread is awesome too) in advance and put it in the freezer! Call Frienda Edwards with any questions. (412) 373-3727.

KNIT, CROCHET and SEW

Please continue making 7” x 9” knit or crocheted blocks that will be sewn together to make afghans that will be distributed to homeless people or to people in nursing homes (adults and children).  A group of ladies in Duquesne who used to take part in the Warm UP America! Project at Pat Catan’s will assemble the afghans and distribute them.

I’m also hoping that Little Dresses for Africa are still being crafted and they will be shipped in the Fall.  Any dress pattern can be used, but I have the pattern for a simple-to-make dress that can be made from pillowcases or yard goods.  If you don’t want to sew but have un-needed fabric, bias tape, or trims, please consider donating them to PW to be made into dresses by our talented seamstresses. If you have any questions about either of these projects, please call me, Nancy Rogers, 412-372-3397.
