Frequently Asked Questions
No. We are open to all families who can affirm the Nicene Creed.
No. We will be teaching traditionally Protestant theology. Our director, Cara Rach, is the Family Ministry coordinator at the church and will be teaching the Bible lessons. We believe in the triune God of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This triune God created, redeemed, and sustains the world. We affirm the 5 Solas of the reformed tradition (sola scriptura, solus Christus, sola fide, sola gratia, and soli Deo gloria) as well as a reformed soteriology as summarized in T.U.L.I.P. (Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, Irresistible Grace, and Perseverance of the Saints.) We also affirm traditional marriage between one man and one woman. Finally, we are an egalitarian community, believing that men and women can serve the local church and submit to one another out of love.
LGPC affirms these fundamental beliefs: We believe....the Bible is the Word of God, in one God, in Jesus Christ, in the Holy Spirit, salvation is through Christ alone, the true Church is composed of all persons, the Lord Jesus Christ commands all believers to proclaim the Gospel and Jesus calls each believer to a life of service and self-giving love.
