Spring Concert - We will be welcoming the community for an Afternoon of Music on Sunday, April 26, at 1:30p.m. Our church will be hosting a Spring Concert featuring performances by both the Mon Yough Chorale and the Indi-Anna Chorus in the sanctuary. Light refreshments will be served afterwards in the fellowship hall.
The Mon Yough Chorale is a community choir that welcomes everyone who loves to sing. Their repertoire will include a variety of musical styles as well as some patriotic music to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
The Indi-Anna Chorus is a chapter of the Sweet Adelines International. They are a four-part, a cappella women’s chorus that sings in the American barbershop musical art form. Their repertoire will also include patriotic musical selections along with gospel melodies. Our church choir has several members who will be singing at the concert.
Doors will open for the concert at 1:00p.m. The concert will be free of charge. Donations will be accepted. Please invite your friends, family, and neighbors to attend and share in this uplifting, musical afternoon.
Diaper Drive - The Level Green Presbyterian Church will be hosting a diaper collection drive on Saturday, May 9, from 10:00a.m. – 12:00p.m. in their parking lot. The drive-thru event will benefit the Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank.
The Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank works to collect and distribute diapers to families in need. It is the region’s only diaper bank and last year served 18,000 families in communities across eight counties, including Westmoreland. In each county, the Diaper Bank works with community partner agencies to get diapers to families who need them the most.
The church is encouraging individuals, families, co-workers, community groups and clubs, teams, and other local churches and businesses, to start collecting now and join together with them to celebrate and honor all mothers on Mother’s Day weekend by making a donation that will greatly help a new Mom.
Diapers can be very expensive for new parents. They are not an item that’s covered by most assistance programs. 1 in 2 families with young children struggle to be able to afford diapers for their babies.
The Diaper Bank was able to distribute over three million diapers in Western Pennsylvania neighborhoods in 2025. This was made possible through the dedication and support the Diaper Bank receives from communities coming together to collect diaper donations.
All diaper sizes are being collected at the drive-thru event. Diapers in sizes 4/5/6 and pull ups for potty training are the most requested at the Diaper Bank. Boxes of baby wipes will also be collected. All donations of diapers and baby wipes must be unopened.
The Diaper Bank is also able to make purchases of diapers in bulk.
Any monetary donations that are received at the collection drive will be given to the Diaper Bank for this purpose.
Anyone who is unable to make it to the collection drive event is also welcome to bring their donations to the church’s Mother’s Day worship services on Sunday, May 10 at 8:00a.m. & 10:30a.m. Donations can also be dropped off earlier in the week at the church office.
Announcements:
Dinner Basket Team - If you enjoy cooking and you'd like to be on the Dinner Basket team led by the Deacons, we'd love your help. You don't have to be a fancy cook to be a helper. We mostly deliver soups and "comfort foods". Main dish recipes that also freeze well are extra helpful for the
families. Making food for someone is a great way to show them that you care. It also helps to make their lives a little bit easier while they're going through something. So if you'd like to be a part of our team, please drop Janet an email at battenhouse@comcast.net.
Nursery Parents- It is our goal to staff our nursery every Sunday for the 10:30 a.m. Worship Service. However, when this is not possible, please be aware that our nursery room will be open during this time. If your child is having difficulty in service, you are welcome to go with your child to the nursery. The room is equipped for you to be able to hear the service while you are with them. The Nursery is also open during our 8:00 a.m.
Cool Whip Containers- The Presbyterian Women will be collecting Cool Whip containers with lids again. Our supply is very low. Thank you!
Worship Helpers - Just say “Good Morning,” hand out bulletins, pass collection plates and count how many folks are here. Please call the office and let us know when you can help. Please write a note on the Fellowship Pad if you are willing to help.
Please consider giving it a try…
