Operation Christmas Child - Boxes can be picked up in the front and rear of the sanctuary. After filling your box, please enclose your $10 check to “PW” and put your shoebox in the church library. Boxes need to be returned no later than November 8, 2026. Please contact Susan Murdy at724-255-3538 if you have any questions.
Consecration Sunday & Fall Potluck - We will be making our financial pledges to God’s work at Level Green Presbyterian Church on Sunday, November 15 th. There will be Potluck lunch following the 10:30 Worship service that morning. Join us for a great time of fellowship. The Level Green Presbyterian Church invites the community to join them on Sunday, November 15, for their worship service and Fall Potluck Luncheon. The worship service will begin at 10:30a.m. with the potluck luncheon to follow afterwards in the fellowship hall. Everyone is asked to please bring any kind of salad, hot or cold side dish, casserole, potato or vegetable side, or dessert to share. It's a potluck so all your favorite recipes will be enjoyed.
The Deacons' committee will be providing roast turkey, stuffing, and chicken strips for the Thanksgiving themed buffet table. All those attending are encouraged to bring a friend or neighbor with them to share in the fellowship and enjoy lunch together. New visitors to the church are very welcome.

Thanksgiving Food Collection - The Deacons will soon be delivering Thanksgiving Food Baskets to our church & community friends. We could really use your help with filling those baskets with many needed staples which will help to stock the pantries of our neighbors. Those bringing in food are asked to please place it in the marked collection boxes at the entrances to the sanctuary, outside the office, or in the Fellowship Hall. Donations will be collected through Friday, November 20.
Grocery store gift cards would also be appreciated to help the families purchase a turkey and any extra groceries they may need. Monetary donations would also be welcome to help the Deacons make sure each basket is well stocked with food and gift cards. Please drop off any gift cards or monetary donations in the office or mark them “Thanksgiving Baskets” and place them in the collection plates. Please give the names of any families you think could benefit from a basket to Rev. Rach or to the church office very soon. All information about the families is kept confidential.
We are also partnering up again this year with the guidance counselors and teachers in the Penn-Trafford School District to provide Thanksgiving baskets for families they recommend to us. If you are able to give any extra this year, we will certainly put it to good use. Thanks so much for your help. Your generosity and giving will help us to make sure that many families have a nice Thanksgiving.
Announcements:
Dinner Basket Team - If you enjoy cooking and you'd like to be on the Dinner Basket team led by the Deacons, we'd love your help. You don't have to be a fancy cook to be a helper. We mostly deliver soups and "comfort foods". Main dish recipes that also freeze well are extra helpful for the
families. Making food for someone is a great way to show them that you care. It also helps to make their lives a little bit easier while they're going through something. So if you'd like to be a part of our team, please drop Janet an email at battenhouse@comcast.net.
Nursery Parents- It is our goal to staff our nursery every Sunday for the 10:30 a.m. Worship Service. However, when this is not possible, please be aware that our nursery room will be open during this time. If your child is having difficulty in service, you are welcome to go with your child to the nursery. The room is equipped for you to be able to hear the service while you are with them. The Nursery is also open during our 8:00 a.m.
Cool Whip Containers- The Presbyterian Women will be collecting Cool Whip containers with lids again. Our supply is very low. Thank you!
Worship Helpers - Just say “Good Morning,” hand out bulletins, pass collection plates and count how many folks are here. Please call the office and let us know when you can help. Please write a note on the Fellowship Pad if you are willing to help.
